Synthesis of Ferrocenyl Chalcone Derivatives by Solid-Phase Grinding Method
We synthesized twenty-six ferrocenyl chalcone derivatives(1a-1z)through Claisen-Schmidt con-densation reaction by a solid-phase grinding method, and characterized their structures by FTIR,1 HNMR,ESI-MS,and elemental analysis. Moreover,we confirmed the crystal structures of the target compounds 1c,1m,and 1u by a single crystal diffraction method. The results show that, when the Claisen-Schmidt condensation reac-tion of acetylferrocene and benzaldehyde is adopted as a model, the optimum synthesis conditions are deter-mined as follows:the material ratio n(benzaldehyde)∶n(acetylferrocene)of 2.4∶1,the KOH dosage n(KOH)∶n(acetylferrocene)of 1.3∶1,and the grinding time of 20 min at room temperature.Under above conditions, the yield of target compound 1a can reach 93.13%.
