Research on Public English Education in Higher Vocational Education Based on Intercultural Communication Ability
Intercultural communication ability is related to many factors such as historical development,cultural background and social environment,involving many aspects,such as language expression,language habits,folk customs,etc.,which is of great significance to increase knowledge culture reserves,improve the English learning effect and promote the future growth and development.In English teaching,it is necessary to focus on cultivating students'intercultural communication ability.However,influenced by such factors as insufficient public English courses in higher vocational colleges,heavy tasks,poor foundation of students,etc.,there are problems in cultivating students'intercultural communication ability,such as:lack of attention by teachers,monotonous content and insufficient training methods,etc.Therefore,teachers need to construct scientific educational practice strategies:develop cultural consciousness and introduce cultural resources;explore textbook resources and create vivid situations;compare cultural differences and create ideological consciousness;create communication scenes and cultivate through context;analyze action differences and push self-study resources.Through the implementation of these strategies,training objectives can be achieved.
