A Study on the Presentation and Reasons of Zen Aesthetic Connotations in Natsume Soseki's Chinese Poetry
Natsume Soseki incorporated the taste and theory of life into Chinese poetry subtly during his creation,achieving the expression of Zen Aesthetics connotations naturally,creating a form of Japanese localized Chinese poetry to realize the contextual transformation of Chinese traditional culture in Japan by this way.Based on the analysis of Zen philosophy in Natsume Soseki's Chinese poetry,this paper focuses on explaining Zen connotations involved in his Chinese poetry by using specific examples,such as Zen"shadows"artistic conception which contained"mononoaware"and"yugen",Zen-paintings artistic conception which combined"movement and stillness",and Zen imagery which included perceiving the"Dao"in the"Zen language".Finally,from aspects of Natsume Soseki's profound foundation in Chinese literature cultivation,his hard and rough personal experience,and influenced by Japanese traditional cultural aesthetic consciousness,this paper provides a detailed analysis on the source of Zen thought contained in Natsume Soseki's Chinese poetry.
