Abstract
In the context of the information age,college English education is facing the necessity and challenges of transformation.This paper delves into the profound value of this transformation,including enhancing students'information literacy and English proficiency,reshaping the role of teachers,and promoting the internationalization of higher education.It focuses on the breakthrough of university English education,especially by integrating information technology and innovative teaching methods,improving teaching efficiency and quality,and enhancing students'international competitiveness.
