Strategies for Cultivating Students'Cultural Confidence in Higher Vocational English Teaching
The Report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out:"Without a high level of cultural confidence,there can't be great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation."General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly emphasized the importance of inheriting and promoting excellent Chinese culture.Language and culture are inseparable.English,as an important humanities foundation course in vocational colleges,undertakes the important task of enhancing students'cultural confidence.The author established an experimental class and a control class in this study.The traditional teaching method was followed in the control class,while the certain strategies were adopted to integrate Chinese culture and cultivate cultural confidence in the experimental class.By comparing and analyzing the experimental results,it is aimed to explore the cultivation strategies of cultural confidence in vocational English teaching,establishes an experimental class and a control class,where traditional teaching methods are followed.Chinese culture is integrated into the experimental class to cultivate cultural confidence.Through comparative analysis of the experimental results,the author aims to explore the cultivation strategies of cultural confidence in higher vocational English teaching to teach language knowledge,cultivate students'cultural awareness and enhance their cultural confidence.
