Aesthetic Opportunities for Cultural Festivals—Taking the Wuzhen Drama Festival as an Example
Cultural festivals,as a special period of daily life,have dense aesthetic factors that break through ordinary life,providing an important opportunity for the aestheticization of daily life.Taking the Wuzhen Drama Festival as an example,this paper explores on how the festival forms a"utopian"aesthetic experimental field around the historical and cultural space of the ancient town of Jiangnan water town.The stage oriented Wuzhen aesthetic space integrates"front desk"and"back desk",constructing an interaction between living space and drama space;the rationalization of festival time,the elimination of social rules,and the release of self directed aesthetic transcendence;the ceremonial and symbolic construction of aesthetic texts in cultural activities of drama festivals;the immersion and revelry of the aesthetic subject bring a surreal aesthetic interactive effect.At the same time,cultural festivals are also opportunities to change people's aesthetic concepts and improve social aesthetic levels.
