The launch of the new liberal arts provides an opportunity for the cultivation of foreign language talents in colleges and universities with industry characteristics to develop innovatively.Although the cultivation of foreign language talents in colleges and universities with industry characteristics still faces the difficulties of weak interdisciplinary foundation,insufficient innovation and practice,and poor fit with national strategies,the engineering-based advantages in colleges and universities with industrial characteristics will provide a good opportunity for interdisciplinary cultivation of foreign language majors in"liberal arts+engineering".Therefore,under the background of new liberal arts construction,the cultivation of foreign language talents in colleges and universities with industry characteristics should follow the three principles of interdisciplinarity,China-based and internationalization,grasp the degree of integration of interdisciplinary foreign language talents cultivation,focus on the practicality of compound application foreign language talents cultivation,dovetail with the foreign language talents cultivation goal in line with national strategy,and cultivate foreign language talents with distinctive industrial characteristics for technical management and technical services.
