Construction and Application of a Multimodal Teaching Mode for "College English Audio-visual and Speaking" Based on the Development of Multi-literacies
The development of modern information technology has proposed higher demands for people's way of communication.As a language skills course,"College English Audio-visual and Speaking"should not only focus on students'listening comprehension and oral communication,but also pay attention to improve their personal quality,their ability of information processing,technical operation,critical thinking,etc.,which are referred to as multi-literacies.The multimodal teaching mode relies on the teaching processes of situated practice,overt instruction,critical framing and transformed practice.It constructs four teaching stages:multimodal discourse experience,knowledge and skills internalization,multimodal discourse analysis and multimodal discourse construction.Practice has shown that this teaching mode can effectively enhance students'multi-literacies.
