This paper aims to cultivate university students'ability to"tell great Chinese traditional cultural stories"by building a smart translation classroom for college English.The significance of"telling well"has two aspects:the need for"good"stories and the need for a"good"approach.Therefore,in terms of teaching content,outstanding Chinese traditional culture is used as the"good material"for translation teaching.In terms of teaching methods,a smart classroom is employed as the"good method"for translation teaching so as to raise teaching quality and efficiency.Consequently,it further enhances students'ability for international cultural communication and strengthens the idea of inheriting traditional culture among college students as well as improves their proficiency in modern information technology.
