The Southern Song Dynasty was a turbulent period in Chinese history,when the northern regions were occupied by foreign tribes such as the Jin and Mongols.Many literati fled their homes due to the collapse of their country.This historical background,coupled with the unique geographical environment of the Southern Song Dynasty,such as the contrast between the beauty of the Jiangnan water town and the desolation of the Jiangbei region,deeply influenced the emotional and imagery choices of the poets in their creations.The paper analyzes the representative works of these poets,explores how the images of nature,musical instruments,animals,and other elements in Ci poetry for homesickness are used to express emotions and ideas,and ultimately reveals the literary value and historical significance of Ci poetry for homesickness in the Southern Song Dynasty as a special cultural phenomenon.
