Research on the Independent Learning Ability of Higher College Students in Wuhan under the Blended Learning Environment
Blended learning approach and self-directed learning ability achieve each other and jointly promote the development of learners.In a survey of 324 students from five colleges and universities in Wuhan,the researcher used the Independent Learning Competence Scale to assess multiple dimensions,including motivation,self-efficacy,learning goals,learning methods,teacher-student interactions,and environmental factors.The findings revealed that the overall level of students'self-directed learning ability was fair,but there were significant differences between individuals.At the same time,there are obvious differences in independent learning ability among students with different genders,grades,and subject backgrounds,and the influence of these factors should be considered when formulating strategies to enhance students'independent learning ability.
