On Multimodal Teaching Strategies of English Curriculum in Chinese Culture from the Perspective of Digital Storytelling
The English curriculum in Chinese culture,which is a relatively fresh course for English majors,has gradually evolved into a core course in colleges,aiming to guide students to tell Chinese stories accurately,vividly,and effectively and to cultivate future talents in cross-cultural communication as well.Nowadays,digital information technology integrated and applied in modern foreign language teaching has been quite universal,and all available tools of media have been incorporated into the category of storytelling,thus each type of information is a mode.Therefore,it would be effective and efficient to fulfill the combination of multilingual function,integration of multicultural knowledge,and utilization of multimodal resources by using digital media to apply digital storytelling in cultural teaching and learning.In addition,exploring methods to trigger students'multi-sensory collaborative interaction under the context of digital story is conducive in breaking the traditional mode of cultural teaching,and it helps to cultivate and enhance students'capacity to integrate and achieve complete storytelling after viewing,listening to,and reading various fragmented information,which could improve the efficiency and quality of teaching.
