Preparation and Properties of Polyvinyl Alcohol Two-component Waterborne Coatings
With polyvinyl alcohol as the film-forming substance, this study selects boric acid as the crosslinker to prepare boric acid modified polyvinyl alcohol two-component waterborne coatings, and the effect of boric acid content on coating film performance is discussed. The experimental results show that the polyvinyl alcohol two-component waterborne coatings by using 1.5%mass fraction of boric acid exhibits good adhesion and the pencil hardness of the coating film reaches 9H.Different mass fraction of montmorillonite is added to investigate the performance of boric acid modified polyvinyl alcohol two-component waterborne coatings, the results show that the corrosion resistance of the coating film is further improved when the dosage of montmorillonite is 0.05%.
