Re-exploring the Characteristics of Risk Communication under New Media Environment——Approach by Reviewing the Concept of Risk
Reviewing the concept of risk in the fields of humanities and social sciences provides a path for exploring the characteristics of risk communication under new media environment.From the perspective of relationship theory,risk is different from danger and is the unity of behaviour,responsibility,and result in an event.In the historical perspective,risk is regarded as a tool for diagnosing mo-dernity,leading to the conclusion that different stages of social development face different risks.In human culturology studies,risk is a collective construct and a way of dealing with and understanding danger.In the new media environment,changes in the relationship between transmission and reception have intensified the uncertainty of risk communication.Information collision in different spatiotem-poral scenarios has brought about a complex risk communication environment,and the formation of cultural circles has increased the ambiguous of risk communication.
