The Study on the Effect of Talent Training Reform of Undergraduates for New Finance and Economics in the Context of New Liberal Arts——Evidence from Experimental Class in Hebei University of Economics and Business
New finance and economics is an important type of New Liberal Arts,and the talent training reform of undergraduate for new finance and economics is worth paying attention.Based on the survey data of two semesters in Hebei University of Economics and Busi-ness in 2020,this paper constructs ability index with 5 dimensions and analyzes the effect of experimental class program of new finance and economics using radar charts and Differences-in-Differences(DID)method.After horizontal comparison,comprehensive ability and dimensions such as international perspectives,professionalism,professional knowledge and national feelings for undergraduates in experimental class are better than the counterpart,both classes perform equally in terms of information technology.In addition,there exists heterogeneity in effect among experimental classes.After vertical comparison,professional knowledge,national feelings,interna-tional perspectives,professionalism,and comprehensive ability for undergraduates in experimental class are higher than the counterpart in half a year.These effects have key implications for local universities of finance and economics to deepen the reform of undergraduate education in new finance and economics,make up the weakness of talent training for experimental class accordingly,guide teachers and students to continuously improve their information technology skills,and consolidate their professional ethics.
