A Study on the Founding of the Jixian Academy in Kaiyuan Period of Flourishing Tang Dynasty
Jixian Academy was founded in the early Kaiyuan period during the reign of emperor xuanzong in the Tang Dynasty.Its pre-decessor was the short-lived Lizheng Academy,which was the earliest official academy in China.It played a crucial role in the devel-opment of Chinese academies and opened up a new path for the development of social,cultural and education.Due to the fact that the establishment of Jixian Academy involved two places at that time,Chang'an in the capital and Luoyang in the eastern capital,there were differences in existing literary theories.Therefore,it is important to study ancient literature and seek truth from facts.Through a comprehensive analysis of the authoritative classics,the origin of the establishment of Jixian Academy,as well as the specific time,lo-cation,quantity,and other basic information,is clear.Here,we present a comprehensive and complete overview of the establishment of Jixian Academy to the public.
