Research on the Performance of Metakaolin Reinforced Waste Brick Coarse Aggregate Recycled Concrete
With the rapid development of infrastructure in China,a large number of old buildings have been demolished due to insufficient bearing capacity, resulting in a sharp increase in waste materi-als.At the same time, natural disasters are also another aspect of building damage, affecting the use of building materials.Waste bricks account for a large proportion of construction waste, and their compressive and tensile properties are poor, making them easily broken and often discarded. After crushing, cleaning, and screening, waste brick aggregates are used as recycled coarse aggre-gates.The research factors include the replacement rate of waste brick aggregates and the amount of metakaolin replacing cement. The mechanical and durability properties of waste brick recycled concrete are studied.According to the experiment,it was found that the replacement rate of waste clay bricks is 30%,and when the content of metakaolin is 6%,the compressive strength is the highest, and the splitting tensile strength is good. The microstructure of recycled aggregate con-crete from waste bricks was studied through SEM and other methods.
