Fluent numerical simulation was conducted on two types of half cut road conditions on high-ways to analyze the influence of wind direction angle on the concentration of snow accumulation in half cuts. The distribution pattern of snow accumulation in half cuts was obtained, providing theo-retical reference for highway route selection and design. The results show that as the wind angle increases, the overall snow concentration in the leeward half of the road cutting shows an increas-ing trend. When the wind direction angle is 90°,the snow concentration is the highest, reaching 72.21 Kg/m3,forming a serious wind snow disaster; The overall concentration fluctuation trend of the windward half cutting is within 5 Kg/m3,and the snow concentration is below 20 Kg/m3,which is not enough to form a wind snow disaster. When designing the route of highways in areas with frequent wind and snow disasters, the angle between the highway and the main wind direc-tion should be reduced to reduce the occurrence of wind and snow disasters.
