The Eulerian-Lagrangian method was used to study the flow pattern in the ordinary inclined plate sedimentation tank.The particle deposition characteristics and flow characteristics in the or-dinary inclined plate sedimentation tank under different working conditions were calculated by u-sing the one-way coupled discrete phase model(DPM).In view of the poor sedimentation effect of ordinary inclined plate sedimentation tank and the easy re-floating of particles,an improved V-shaped inclined plate sedimentation tank was designed.Combined with the standard k-ε model,the PISO algorithm was used to calculate the trajectory of particles in the improved V-shaped inclined plate sedimentation tank under different particle sizes through the Beijing supercomputer plat-form.The results show that after using the improved V-shaped inclined plate,the settling path of the particles decreases,but the eddy current strength increases.At this time,the energy dissipa-tion is faster,which is conducive to solid-liquid separation.Larger particles are also easier to pre-cipitate.
