Study on the Configuration Path for Improving the Efficiency of China's Medical Insurance Fund Operation:Based on DEA Model and Fuzzy-Set Qualitative Comparative Analysis
Taking 31 provinces(autonomous regions,province-level municipalities)in China as research samples,data envelopment analysis method was used to calculate the operation efficiency of medical insurance funds in each province,and then five indicators,regional economic level,government support level,aging level,urbanization level and medical level,were extracted.Fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis method was used to reveal different configuration and mechanism of operational efficiency of medical insurance funds in China.The research finds that there are two different modes of high medical insurance funds operation efficiency and three different configuration paths of low medical insurance funds operation efficiency in various regions in China.By comparing and observing the high and low configurations,it is found that under certain conditions,the level of government support and urbanization are the core factors affecting the operation efficiency of medical insurance funds.The reason for the difference between the operating efficiency of high and low medical insurance funds is asymmetric,that is,the path that causes the operation efficiency of low medical insurance funds is not the opposite of the path of high medical insurance funds operating efficiency.
