The mutual-aid model of elder care facility paves a new way besides family model and institutional model with the form of collective ownership and gregariousness.The mutual-aid model of elder care facility is established based on the social contract theory,scale economy theory,and field theory.Problems exist in the mutual-aid objects,service,personal habits,public order,and security system.Countermeasures are proposed to break through tradi-tions,lower the threshold,and build collective consciousness,so that the mutual-aid model of elder care facility would be well accepted with a balance between supply and demand,more rural seniors would have more choices,and people's wellbeing could be improved.
