Based on the survey data of 883 family farms in 5 provinces across China,the impact of digitalization on the green transformation of family farms is studied with the entropy method and the ordered Probit model.The results show that digitalization significantly promotes the green transformation of family farms,and digital cognition and digit-al technology adoption have a significant positive impact on the green transformation of family farms.Digitalization mainly promotes the green transformation of family farms with agricultural ecology development,agricultural reduction and efficiency,and the development of multi-functional agriculture.The heterogeneity analysis shows that the green transition of family farms is affected by gender,age,education level,and farm type.Local digital infrastructure,dig-ital platforms for green agricultural products,and digital literacy of farmers should be improved for the green transfor-mation of family farms.
