The concept and nature of supervision detention and the origin and limitation of related policies are stud-ied.The advantages of detention in practice and achievements of supervisory organs in Hebei province are ana-lyzed,focusing on the problems existing in the practice of detention measures,including the insufficient protection of the rights and interests of the object of detention and the unsmooth connection between detention measures and criminal coercive measures.The detention measures in supervision laws should be improved to enhance the validity and legitimacy of the supervision detention system and the protection of the rights and interests of the detainees and their families.
