Syntactic subject,speaker subject and syntactic semantic constraints are studied from the perspective of"do not know"structure.The result shows that different syntactic levels have different effects on semantic interpreta-tion with the feature of mood＞tense＞syntactic component.The events composed of subject,adverbial,object,pred-icate,fixed structure and sentence pattern that express strong cognition or[+control]is the key to understand the speaker's semantic interpretation of the subject.The descriptive nature of object clauses affects semantic interpreta-tion.Different categories of mood tend to be interpreted as different semantics.Under the descriptive/non-descriptive framework,"do not know",as a focus-sensitive operator,acts with other focus-sensitive operators in syntactic and semantic aspects,which is the necessary condition for the single solution/disarticulation of this special"S+do not know+VP"structure,while the sufficient condition or internal motivation is the"complete reshaping"of the infor-mation structure.
