The Application of Digital Technology and the Alleviation of Multidimensional Relative Poverty in Rural Areas—The Mediation Effects Based on the Digital Divide
The mechanism of digital technology application on multidimensional relative poverty in rural areas was studied from the multidimensional perspective in rural areas,the mediation effect mechanism and nonlinear characteristics of the digital divide were analyzed with Chinese household tracking survey data and provincial data from 2010 to 2022.The result showed that the level of digital technology application of farmers had a significant positive effect on alleviating relative poverty in rural areas.The digital divide had a reverse mediation effect featuring an arch shape in the digital technology application to alleviate relative poverty in rural areas.The level of economic and financial development had a reverse impact on the relative poverty level in rural areas,while the dependency ratio and debt ratio of rural households had a positive impact.
