The development and application of the core technology of virtual agglomeration in promoting industrial structure upgrading are studied from the perspective of new quality productive forces.An evaluation model for virtual agglomeration levels is established with the location quotient index and the geographic distance spillover decay index.The specific effects of virtual agglomeration on industrial structure upgrading are analyzed with the fixed-effects model on the panel data from 30 provinces across China from 2013 to 2021.The result shows that virtual agglomeration facilitates industrial structure upgrading by improving digital financial inclusion levels,especially in digitalization and service levels,which improves the integration of digital platforms and industrial structure as well as China's industrial structure upgrading.
