In order to explore the actual needs of university readers for library document re-sources and put forward rational suggestions for the construction of university library collec-tion resources,the document delivery request data submitted by Beijing Union University Li-brary readers on the BALIS document delivery service platform in the past five years was col-lected,making statistics from multiple dimensions such as the basic situation of document de-livery services,user structure,and language,type,subject distribution,and age distribution of document requests.The paper analyzes the characteristics of document resource needs of u-niversity readers,accurately grasps the actual document needs of university readers,and puts forward suggestions and countermeasures for the document delivery services,information lit-eracy education and collection resource construction of university libraries,so as to help uni-versity libraries rationally allocate collection resources and better meet readers'literature re-source needs.
