The old site of Zhili Library is located in the courtyard of Ancient Lotus Garden,Baoding City,Hebei province.Mr.Lu Muzhai made a great contribution to the construction of Zhili Library.He devoted his life to Chinese librarianship and made many achievements,which can be called China's Andrew Carnegie.Zhili Library was not only the continuation of Lianchi Academy Library in the late Qing Dynasty,but also a product of using Western li-brary system for reference in order to enlighten the people,which represented the transforma-tion of the ancient library to the modern library.
