Research on the Promotion of Reading for Special Needs Children from the Perspective of Children's Rights Theory——A Survey Based on 32 Provincial-level Public Libraries in China
The theory of children's rights provides strong support for the protection of the reading rights of special needs children in public libraries.The article focuses on the current situation of special needs children's reading development in public libraries,primarily using online surveys,supplemented by literature reviews.It investigates and studies the current sit-uation,characteristics,experiences,and achievements of special needs children's reading services in 32 provincial-level public libraries in China,analyzes the difficulties in promoting special needs children's reading from the perspective of children's rights theory,and proposes strategies such as enhancing public awareness of special children's protection,creating a hu-manized and accessible reading environment,providing diversified collections and services suitable for special children,and organizing diversified integrated reading activities for special children.
