The walking-reading programs developed by foreign public libraries possess the du-al characteristics of exercise and reading.They promote the improvement of adult and chil-dren's literacy and reading ability while advocating a healthy and green lifestyle.Through lit-erature research method and network survey method,this paper analyzes the programs'im-plementation process,features,and their alignment with library strategic objectives.It is found that the strategies for developing walking-reading programs in foreign libraries include designing pedestrian routes and conducting on-site research;establishing diversified coopera-tive partnerships;integrating multiple elements to enrich the reading experience;meeting the needs of different users to promote social inclusion.This paper ultimately proposes the inspi-ration of the walking-reading programs for promoting reading activities in public libraries in China under the background of cultural and tourism integration.
