The application of Scene Theoryin the design of public library reading spacesenriches them with emotional communication,identity perception,and cultural value,providing new i-deas for improving the quality of space construction and enhancing the effectiveness of reading services.This paper explains the connotation of Scene Theoryand reviews the practical con-struction of scenario—based reading spaces in domestic public libraries,and proposes strate-gies for optimizing reading space construction in public librariesfrom four perspectives:dem-onstration effect,on-site experience,cultural identity,and reading itself.
