This paper reviews the history of the establishment of the undergraduate majors in Information Resource Management and conducts a comprehensive investigation of the current educational status.The SWOT analysis method is used to systematically analyze the develop-ment trends of the Information Resource Management major,with predictions made from both pessimistic and optimistic perspectives.It is recommended to further strengthen the con-struction of the Information Resource Management major,raise awareness,expand education-al capacity,strengthen macro-level planning guidance and inter-school cooperation,emphasize unique strengths,and implement broad-discipline enrollment to lay a solid foundation for un-dergraduate education in the construction of primary disciplines.
