Research on TNT equivalent method for natural gas pipeline leakage and explosion damage in underground manhole space
There is a risk of leakage and explosion in urban underground natural gas pipelines during daily op-eration.The range of explosion damage is a key indicator for evaluating the impact of the explosion and deter-mining the safe distance, which is an important reference for the design of urban natural gas pipelines. In order to accurately calculate the extent of damage caused by gas explosion when leaked gas diffuses into underground manhole spaces,a mathematical model was established using the TNT equivalent method.Based on the volume of natural gas leaked into enclosed spaces such as gas inspection wells and water network manholes, the extent of damage caused by gas explosion is studied. The research has shown that based on the node data of under-ground natural gas pipelines in a certain city's lifeline project, the explosion prediction analysis model is tested and validated, and the death radius, serious injury radius, minor injury radius, and property loss radius of natural gas pipeline manholes and water network manholes are obtained. The research results provide important reference for the development of emergency plans and the implementation of emergency response plans for nat-ural gas pipeline leakage and explosion accidents in underground manhole spaces.
