Preliminary survey on the composition and feature of spermatophyte genera in Shijiazhuang gardens and parks reveals that there exist 272 species of seed plant belonging to 63 families and 132 genera, with a diversity in flora distribution pattern and predomination of temperature plants. The Shijiazhuang landscape plant flora contains 5 Chinese endemic genera dominated by one-seeded and depauperate genera. The life form analysis of Shijiazhuang landscape plants by Raunkiaer system of classification shows that the dominant genus and specieces of phanerophytes account for 82. 58% and 87. 50% of the total genus and specieces, respectively.
