Effect and influencing factors of polymer porcelain prosthesis on masticatory function and sensitivity of teeth in patients with anterior dental prosthesis
Objective To analyze the effect of Ceramage polymeric porcelain restorations on the chewing function and tooth sensitivity of patients with anterior teeth restoration,as well as its influen-cing factors. Methods A total of 102 patients with anterior tooth crown fractures who underwent ante-rior teeth restoration in our hospital from May 2020 to April 2022 were selected as the research sub-jects.All patients were repaired with Ceramage polymeric porcelain restorations. The changes in che-wing function and tooth sensitivity were observed. One year after the repair, the affected teeth were e-valuated.According to the prognosis, the patients were divided into a good prognosis group and a poor prognosis group. The clinical data of the two groups were collected to analyze the factors influencing the prognosis of polymeric porcelain restorations for anterior teeth restoration. Results The effective rates of color, morphology, and marginal adaptation of Ceramage polymeric porcelain restorations were all 100%.After repair, patients'chewing efficiency and maximum bite force were significantly increased(P<0.05),and tooth sensitivity was significantly improved(P< 0.05).Univariate a-nalysis showed that there were significant differences between the poor prognosis group and the good prognosis group in smoking, poor hygiene habits, tooth crown step-like fractures, and poor control of dental plaque(P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that poor hygiene habits,step-like fractures, and poor control of dental plaque were influencing factors for patient prognosis(P<0.05).Conclusion Ceramage polymeric porcelain restorations can effectively improve the chewing function of anterior tooth crown fractures and reduce tooth sensitivity.Patient prognosis is associated with poor hygiene habits, tooth crown fracture status, and oral environment, and targeted prevention is needed.
