Effect of Weisu Granules combined with pantoprazole on gastrointestinal hormones and serum MCP-1,EGF in patients with non-atrophic gastritis
Objective To investigate the effect of Weisu granules combined with pantoprazole on gastrointestinal hormones, serum monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1),and epidermal growth factor(EGF)in patients with non-atrophic gastritis. Methods A total of 116 patients with non-atrophic gastritis who were treated in our hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were ran-domly divided into observation group and control group, with 58 patients in each group. The control group received pantoprazole 20mg twice daily for 4 weeks. The observation group received additional Weisu granules 5g three times daily for 4 weeks. The levels of gastrointestinal hormones(gastrin, cholecystokinin, somatostatin, serotonin),serum MCP-1,and EGF were compared before and after treatment.Clinical efficacy and adverse reactions were also compared. Results After treatment, the levels of gastrin and somatostatin in both groups significantly increased, while the levels of cholecysto-kinin and serotonin significantly decreased(P<0.001).The serum levels of MCP-1 significantly de-creased and the levels of EGF significantly increased, with significant differences between the two groups(P=0.007 and 0.008).The total clinical symptom score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group after treatment(P<0.001).The total effective rate was 93.10%in the observation group, which was significantly higher than that in the control group(74.14%)(P=0.009).No serious adverse reactions were observed in either group. Conclusion Weisu granules com-bined with pantoprazole can effectively regulate the levels of gastrointestinal hormones, serum MCP-1,and EGF in patients with non-atrophic gastritis, improve the repair and protective function of gas-tric mucosa, improve clinical efficacy, and have good safety.
