Analysis of influencing factors on mental health status of nursing staff responding to public health emer-gencies
Objective To investigate the mental health status and influencing factors of clinical frontline nurses in responding to public health emergencies,and provide theoretical basis for improving the mental health of nurses.Methods In February 2020,a convenience sampling method was used to select 192 frontline nurses working in fever clinics and isolation wards in four hospitals(including all designated hospitals and tertiary general hospitals)in a city as the research objects.The general data questionnaire,general mental health questionnaire(GHQ-12),and nurse professional benefit sense scale were used for investigation.Results In this survey,51.04%(98/192)of frontline nurses had a GHQ-12 score ≥3,suspected of having mental health problems.The score of nurse professional bene-fit sense was(44.25±9.90).Logistic multiple factor regression analysis showed that work hours,having similar disaster rescue experience,and nurse professional benefit sense were the main influen-cing factors of frontline nurses'mental health status(P<0.05).Conclusion During public health e-mergencies,mental health problems are common among clinical frontline nurses.Improving nurse professional benefit sense is conducive to reducing psychological problems.Administrators need to in-tervene in the main influencing factors to improve the mental health of this population.
