Advances in the study of sepsis-associated acute kidney injury
Sepsis and its associated multiple organ dysfunction pose a serious threat to human life and health, with acute kidney injury(AKI)being a common complication.Sepsis associated acute renal injury(SA-AKI)is characterized by high incidence rate and high mortality, which is a hot issue in critical care medicine. The diagnostic criteria based on urine output and creatinine in the past have certain limitations on the early diagnosis of SA-AKI,and the discovery of new biomarkers has made up for the shortcomings of its early diagnosis.Despite the deepening understanding of its severity and pathophysiological mechanisms, there is currently a lack of definite and effective treatment methods, leading to poor prognosis. At present, research on the treatment of SA-AKI has also achieved certain results. This article reviews the pathological and physiological mechanisms,treat-ment,and prevention of SA-AKI based on existing literature data.
