Impact of humanized nursing on behavioral compliance,self-efficacy,blood pressure, and complications among elderly patients with hypertension
Objective To explore the impact of humanized nursing on behavioral compliance,self-efficacy,blood pressure, complications, and nursing satisfaction among elderly patients with hy-pertension during the nursing process. Methods A total of 856 elderly patients with hypertension ad-mitted to the Central Hospital of Liaoyang City from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected and divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method, with 428 patients in each group. The control group received basic intervention, while the observation group im-plemented humanized nursing based on the knowledge-belief-practice concept on the basis of basic in-tervention.The blood pressure levels, behavioral compliance scores,self-efficacy scores, complication rates, and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results There were no statisti-cally significant differences in general information such as age and duration of disease between the two groups(P>0.05).Compared with the control group, the blood pressure levels in the observation group were significantly lower after 24 weeks of intervention(P<0.05),with higher behavioral com-pliance scores and self-efficacy scores(P<0.05).The incidence of complications such as abnormal creatinine and stroke was significantly lower in the observation group, and nursing satisfaction was significantly higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Humanized nursing can improve behavioral compliance and self-efficacy among eld-erly patients with hypertension, maintain their blood pressure levels, and reduce complications,mak-ing it worthy of promotion.
