Analysis of the effectiveness of Honghuang Shengjing Decoction combined with Tiopronin Capsules in the treatment of teratozoospermia
Objective To investigate the efficacy of Honghuang Shengjing Decoction combined with Tiopronin Capsules in the treatment of teratozoospermia.Methods A total of 82 patients with teratozoospermia treated at the First People's Hospital of Shangqiu from January to August 2021 were selected as the study subjects.The subjects were divided into a control group and an observation group using a digital table method,with 41 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Tiopro-nin Capsules,while the observation group was treated with Honghuang Shengjing Decoction in addi-tion to Tiopronin Capsules.The clinical efficacy,changes in semen parameters before and after treat-ment,semen oxidative stress levels,and fertilization outcomes were observed and compared between the two groups.Adverse reactions were also recorded in both groups.Results The clinical effective rate in the observation group was 92.68％,while it was 75.61％in the control group(P＜0.05).Both groups showed increased semen volume,sperm concentration,and percentage of forward-moving sperm compared to before treatment,and the changes in these indicators were more significant in the observation group than in the control group(P＜0.05).The levels of malondialdehyde(MDA)and total antioxidant capacity(TAC)in the seminal plasma were significantly improved in both groups compared to before treatment,with lower MDA levels and higher TAC levels in the observation group compared to the control group(P＜0.05).The rates of good embryos,fertilization,cleavage,im-plantation,and pregnancy in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05),but no serious adverse symptoms were observed in either group.Conclusion The combined use of Honghuang Shengjing Decoction and Tiopronin Cap-sules in the treatment of teratozoospermia has proven effective,improving semen quality,semen oxi-dative stress levels,and fertilization outcomes,with fewer adverse reactions.It is worthy of clinical recommendation.
