Application of arthrography in open reduction for the treatment of chronic Monteggia fracture type Bado Ⅰ in children
Objective To explore the application value of arthrography in open reduction for the treatment of chronic Monteggia fracture type Bado Ⅰ in children. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 30 children with chronic Monteggia fracture type Bado Ⅰ admitted to the Children's Hos-pital of Zhengzhou University from February 2019 to February 2023.The patients were divided into an observation group(arthrography-assisted open reduction)and a control group(direct open reduction)based on the surgical method.Perioperative indicators, complications, elbow flexion-extension range, forearm rotation range, and Kim functional scores were observed in both groups. Results The opera-tion time and fracture healing time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05),and the intraoperative blood loss was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The elbow flexion-extension range, forearm rotation range, and excellent and good rate of Kim efficacy were higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).There was no sig-nificant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion For children with chronic Monteggia fracture type Bado Ⅰ,arthrography-assisted open reduction can clearly show the articular surface between the radius and the lateral condyle of the humerus and the po-sitional relationship between them, which can better improve perioperative indicators and elbow func-tion,enhance therapeutic efficacy, and have a high degree of safety.
