Observation on the rehabilitation effect of pelvic floor myoelectric stimulation combined with Kegel exer-cise on postpartum patients with pelvic floor dysfunction
Objective To analyze the application value of pelvic floor EMG stimulation combined with Kegel exercise in the rehabilitation of postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction and its influence on uri-nation function. Methods A total of 80 patients treated with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction from September 2021 to September 2023 were selected as the study objects, all patients were randomly di-vided into two groups that each contain 40 cases according to random number table method. The pa-tients in control group were treated with Kegel exercise, and the those of observation group were trea-ted with Kegel exercise combined with pelvic floor EMG stimulation. The clinical efficacy, urodynamic indexes, duration of vaginal contraction, quality of sexual life,Class Ⅰ and Class Ⅱ fiber potentials of pelvic floor were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results The total ef-fective rate in the observation group was higher than that of the control group(95%vs77.5%,P<0.05);The maximum measured urethral pressure(PMU),bladder compliance(BC),maximum closed urethral pressure(PMUC),duration of vaginal contraction, satisfaction of sexual life, and Class Ⅰ and Ⅱ muscle fiber potential values of pelvic floor in observation group were higher than those in control group, while Coital pain score and pelvic floor muscle dysfunction score(PFDI-20)were lower than those of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion It is believed that the pelvic floor EMG stimulation combined with Kegel exercise plays a positive and effective role in the rehabilitation of postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction, and has a better effect on the pelvic floor function and urination function recovery of patients.
