Analysis of clinical characteristics of alcohol-hyperlipidemia associated acute pancreatitis
Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics of alcohol-hyperlipidemia associat-ed acute pancreatitis(AHAP).Methods A retrospective study was conducted to collect 161 patients with acute pancreatitis admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to May 2024.Patients were divided into alcoholic acute pancreatitis(AAP),hyperlipidemia-induced acute pancreatitis(HLAP),and AHAP groups based on etiology.Baseline data, laboratory test indicators, and severity were analyzed and compared among the groups. Results Compared with the HLAP group, the AHAP group had a higher male proportion(P<0.05),and a higher rate of concurrent fatty liver than the AAP and HLAP groups(P<0.05).The levels of triglycerides(TG)and total cholesterol(TC)at admission in the AHAP group were significantly higher than those in the AAP and HLAP groups(P<0.05).Ad-ditionally,the proportion of severe patients was higher in the early stage of hospitalization in the AHAP group.Further Logistic regression analysis confirmed that male gender, concurrent fatty liver, and early-stage severe acute pancreatitis(SAP)diagnosis rate were influencing factors of AHAP.Con-clusion AHAP exhibits distinct clinical features from single-etiology AAP and HLAP,characterized by a higher incidence in middle-aged males,a higher rate of concurrent fatty liver, and a greater tend-ency to develop into severe pancreatitis.
