Observation of the rehabilitation effect of swallowing training on swallowing dysfunction in patients with Parkinson's disease
Objective To investigate the rehabilitation effect of swallowing rehabilitation training combined with neuromuscular low-frequency electrical stimulation physiotherapy on swallowing dys-function in patients with Parkinson's disease. Methods Eighty-six patients with Parkinson's disease and swallowing dysfunction admitted to Henan Provincial People's Hospital from June 2022 to August 2023 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group. The control group received neuromuscular low-frequency electrical stimulation physiotherapy for rehabilitation treat-ment,while the observation group received swallowing rehabilitation training in addition to the same treatment.Clinical efficacy, swallowing function, swallowing time parameters, and changes in quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the clinical efficacy of the ob-servation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(95.35%vs 76.74%,P<0.05).The scores of the Water Swallow Test(KWST),Standardized Swallowing Assessment(SSA),and Eating Assessment Tool-10(EAT-10)in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The laryngeal closure, pharyngeal transportation, swallowing reaction, and oral transportation time in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The scores of the Generic Quality of Life Inventory-74(GQOL-74)in the observa-tion group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Swallo-wing rehabilitation training combined with neuromuscular low-frequency electrical stimulation physio-therapy for patients with Parkinson's disease and swallowing dysfunction can improve their swallowing function and achieve better rehabilitation effects, which is worthy of promotion.
