Research on Spatial Expansion and Morphological Evolution of Mountainous and Hilly Cities——A Case Study Based on Mianyang City
In order to understand the spatial expansion and morphological evolution characteristics of the mountainous and hilly cities,Mianyang City was taken as the research object, and based on the land use data from 1980 to 2020,the urban expansion characteristics and morphological evolution trends of Mianyang City were quantitatively analyzed through the urban expansion speed, intensity index, location centrality index and location centrality aggregation index. The results are as follows:from 1980 to 2020,the construction land area of Mianyang City expanded about 2.98 times, and the expansion speed and intensity increased continuously;Mianyang City showed different expansion structures and agglomeration heterogeneity in different time periods during the study period;besides, the urban expansion was carried out according to the law of ″internal infill-external expansion″,and the morphology showed the evolution characteristics of ″agglomeration-separation″.The results of the study help to analyze the spatio-temporal pattern of the expansion of mountainous and hilly cities, and provide a certain basis for the future land use planning of Mianyang City.
