Maize is an important model species and a major constituent of human and animal diets .To under-stand how the underlying genome sequence results in specific plant phenotypes , information on the temporal and spatial transcription patterns of genes is crucial .Transcriptomics analysis is an important tool for studying the ex-pression patterns of whole genome at the specific time-space .The research progress on transcriptomics in maize were summarized in this paper .
