Effects of rate of fertilizer application and load on yield, quality and nutrient storage of ‘Kyoho' grape
To discuss the effects of different rates of fertilizer application and load on yield, quality and nutrition storage of 'Kyoho', the design method of double factors (fertilizer a-mount and load amount) and three levels (low, medium and high) was used in this study. Results showed that fruit weight per cluster decreased with the load amount increasing, and increased with the increasing of fertilizer amount. Yield per hectare was significantly increased with the load amount increasing but was the trend of first increased and then decreased with the fertilizer amount increasing. The cluster weight and fruit quality of vine fertilized with 150 g coated controlled release compound fertilizer (N : P2O5:K2O=14 : 14 : 14) were greatly influenced by load amount. The fruit quality and nutrition storage of the branches would be both increased by appropriately fertilizer amount increased. Compared with the 150 g per plant treatment, the fruit quality improved obviously in the treatment of 200 g per plant fertilizer amount, the total sugar content of low, medium and high load were increased byl9. 27%, 39. 20% and 12. 80%, respectively, and the anthocyanins content increased by 85. 52%, 98. 81% and 79. 45%, respectively. Besides, the branches nutrition storage also increased in the different extents, and increasing amount of starch, soluble sugar, free amino acids and soluble protein content were respectively 7. 45%-57. 34%, 8. 75%-28. 13%, 16. 82% -35. 04% and 9. 82%-30. 16%; When the fertilizer amount reached 250 g per plant, the total sugar contents of different load a-mount treatments were all less than 200 g per plant fertilizer amount treatments and the fruit yields were more than 150 g per plant fertilizer amount treatments but showed a reduced trend than 200 g per plant fertilizer amount treatments. It is concluded that grapevine fruit yield and quality are improved in certain fertilizer amount, but excessive fertilizer not only results in waste but also affects the fruit quality. We suggest to fertilizer reasonable quantity of controlled release compound fertilizer with the same NPK ratio 655. 2 kg per hm2 and with about 30 000 kg per hm2 yield for 'Kyoho' vineyards.
