Screening, identification and pot experiment of biocontrol Bacillus against strawberry root rot
In order to obtain biocontrol Bacillus strains, which could antagonize strawberry root rot pathogen Fusarium oxysporum, the research was done by screening and rescreening from various phytopathogen antagonistic Bacillus strains reserved in the laboratory. In order to determine species of the genus, analysis of morphological characteristics, physiological and biochemical tests and 16S rDNA sequence were done for the strain obtained from rescreening experiments.A pot experiment was conducted to determine biocontrol effects of the strain.Bacillus strain HD-5 was obtained by the test, which showed a good antagonistic activity to F.axysporum, and was identified as Bacillus amyloliquefaciens. Results of pot experiment showed that the control effect of was 77.78%,which indicated a good potential of control ability for strawberry root rot disease.
