Study on the environmental effects of industrial transfer in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region based on a panel data model with time-varying spatial weight matrix
Environmental pollution, especially air pollution, has become an issue that cannot be ignored in the development of society in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region. However, the models of many related literature do not take into account the spatial spillover effect and its time transmission path, and ignore the impact of industrial transfer on environmental pollution. Therefore, based on the environmental Kuznets curve(EKC),the industrial transfer index is introduced, and an endogenous spatio-temporal weighting matrix is used to analyze the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region with a spatial panel data model as an analytical tool. The research shows that industrial relocation has a more significant effect on the environmental impact of neighboring regions. The increase in the proportion of tertiary industries can effectively alleviate local environmental pollution, and the emission of industrial sulfur dioxide in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region shows a positive N-shaped relationship with GDP growth. Therefore,it is of great significance to improve the environmental improvement of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region and its adjacent areas by raising the threshold of high-pollution industrial transfer and industrial emission standards, increasing the proportion of tertiary industry and improving the comprehensive utilization rate of industrial solid waste.
