Spatial differentiation of population aging and its driving factors in Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration
Based on the population census data in 2010 and 2020,the methods of aging coefficient, concentration, and spatial autocorrelation are used to analyze the spatial differentiation characteristics of population aging in Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration at county level.Geodetectors are used to reveal their driving factors.Research shows that:① There is a significant difference of population aging in Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration, showing a spatial pattern of"high in the northeast and low in the southwest",and the process of population aging is aggravated. The internal difference of aging in county-level cities and counties is smaller than that in municipal districts.(2)The overall agglomeration pattern of population aging is stable for a long time, showing a"center-periphery"spatial gradient difference. And it has a significant difference in the variation trend of population aging.③ There is a strong spatial autocorrelation of aging. The hot spots migrates from the East Shandong area to the west, and the cold spots migrates from the west to the east and south.④ The spatial differentiation of population aging is the result of many factors such as natural environment, population structure and social economy, among which the inertia of population age structure is the dominant factor.
